John Pomer

John Pomer is a seasoned real estate entrepreneur with deep expertise in corporate real estate, acquisitions, asset management, and investment strategy. As Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Redwood West, John co-leads both the firm’s investment and service platforms—balancing strategic capital deployment with a high-touch, client-focused advisory approach.

John has completed over 500 transactions totaling more than $1 billion across a diverse range of asset types, including office, industrial, retail, residential, and special-situation properties. On the investment side, he plays a key role in sourcing, structuring, and executing acquisitions—driving long-term value creation and alignment with Redwood West’s capital partners. Simultaneously, John brings institutional discipline to the firm’s advisory services, helping corporate occupiers and investors navigate complex real estate decisions with agility and insight.

John’s foundation in corporate real estate has shaped a well-rounded perspective that spans both principal and client-side considerations. This dual-lens approach enables him to think like an owner while delivering solutions that are strategic, data-driven, and execution-focused.

He is a member of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Commodore’s Club and is an advocate for policies that support thoughtful economic growth and enhance community development. John is actively involved in many community-focused philanthropic initiatives and is a strong supporter of our First Responders.

He is also a registered marrow donor through the Be The Match registry and was a match, donating marrow through a partnership with Hoag and City of Hope hospitals, reflecting his deep commitment to giving back in meaningful ways.

Mr. Pomer holds a Master of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) and Senior Leader in Corporate Real Estate (SLCR) designations from CoreNet Global, is LEED AP certified, and earned his BA in Finance with a minor in Real Estate and Law from California State University, Long Beach. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time near and on the water and, most of all, time with his wife and two children.
